Lethbridge Ringette Association "RATTLERS IN RINGETTE" SCHOLARSHIP
The Lethbridge Ringette Association Rattler in Ringette Scholarship is for Ringette players who have a strong commitment to the sport of ringette through active participation, leadership, and involvement. These scholarships are designed to encourage athletes to maintain their involvement in ringette while pursuing post-secondary studies. Up to two scholarships of $500.00 each will be awarded each year. Successful candidates will only be eligible to receive the award once but will be eligible to apply in any year of their academic studies. Should one of the scholarships not be awarded, it will not carry over to the following year.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Eligible ringette players are those who are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary educational institution for the upcoming academic year. Applicants must have actively participated in ringette with the LRA as a registered player for a minimum of two years prior to the year of application. Successful applicants must provide proof of their full-time enrolment/acceptance for the upcoming academic year to LRA. Lethbridge Ringette Association will not release funds until enrolment/acceptance has been confirmed. Funds will be paid directly to the student.
HOW TO APPLY The application deadline for consideration will be August 31st of each year. Applicants must submit a ringette resume and proof of enrolment to a post-secondary educational institution to the Vice President of the LRA by August 31st - secretary@lethbridgeringette.ca Please put in the subject line SCHOLARSHIP. Scholarships will be awarded to the selected recipients once the board of directors has voted and all requirements have been verified.
